JC MOVEMENT & WELLNESS
Strength & Conditioning
Reverse chronic pain, Enhance Performance, Restore Freedom of Movement

What is Strength & Conditioning?
Who we serve
🪑 Desk-bound Professionals: Lower back pain, neck and shoulder tension, poor posture (kyphosis), chronic fatigue
🏋️ Fitness Beginners: New to resistance training, unfamiliar with proper lifting techniques and movement patterns, concerned about injury from incorrect form
🏃 Weekend Warriors: Post-exercise knee pain, tight calves, frequent injuries that hinder progress
👴👵 Older Adults: Leg weakness when climbing stairs, fear of falling, declining mobility and physical capacity
🎯 Performance Seekers: Regular exercisers stuck in a training plateau, eager to break through but lacking direction
Our service
Step 1: Comprehensive Assessment – Identifying the "Weak Link"

-
Functional Movement Screen (FMS): Evaluates joint mobility, stability, and bilateral symmetry
-
Dynamic Movement Analysis: Observes movement patterns in daily actions such as squatting, lunging, and bending
-
Pain History & Lifestyle Review: Documents your history of strain and correlates it with your daily habits and sports participation
What you get: A clear "body usage report" that reveals which muscles are underactive, which are overcompensating, and which areas are at risk of developing issues.
Step 2: Personalized Training – Retraining Your Body How to Move
Based on your assessment results, we design a customized progressive training program that may include:
-
Activation Drills: Waking up "dormant" muscles—glutes, core stabilizers, and scapular stabilizers
-
Movement Pattern Correction: Correcting foundational movement patterns including squatting, deadlifting, pushing, and pulling
-
Progressive Overload: Gradually increasing resistance once proper form is established, building strength and physical capacity
-
Mobility Training: Releasing tight joints and muscles to improve range of motion
Training Principle: All exercises are performed within a "pain-free range", prioritising movement quality.

Step 3: Outcome Transfer – Bringing Your Gains into Real Life

Progress in the weight room is only half the story. We care most about:
-
Whether walking, climbing stairs, and bending down to tie your shoes genuinely feel easier
-
Whether your weekend sports performance is more consistent and post-activity fatigue is reduced
-
Whether your back pain, knee pain, and shoulder tension are gradually diminishing—or disappearing altogether
The Ultimate Goal: You no longer need to rely on a coach because your body has relearned how to move naturally and efficiently on its own.
What You Will Achieve
Outcome What It Means for You
✅ Pain Resolved at Its SourceDiscomfort in the lower back, knees, and shoulders gradually fades—no more masking symptoms with painkillers
✅ Smoother, More Efficient MovementFrom walking and stair-climbing to sports and exercise—every movement feels lighter, more fluid, and less effortful
✅ Significantly Lower Injury RiskWhen every joint moves along its correct path, unnecessary wear and tension are eliminated—allowing you to safely and sustainably enjoy the activities you love

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I have absolutely no exercise experience. Is this suitable for me?
Absolutely. We start from your current ability level. Beginners begin with foundational breathing techniques and basic movement control—we never throw weights at you on day one.
I already have existing pain. Won't training make it worse?
Quite the opposite. Our core principle is "quality of movement first, load second." All exercises are performed within your pain-free range, with the goal of liberating you from pain—not aggravating it.
How long will it take to see results?
Most clients begin to notice easier movement and reduced discomfort within 4–6 sessions, with significant functional improvements visible after 8–12 sessions. Results vary based on individual starting points and training frequency.
How is this different from physical therapy?
Physical therapy focuses on rehabilitating an "already injured" area. S&C, on the other hand, operates at the "pre-injury or post-rehabilitation" stage—building overall body function and eliminating the faulty patterns that lead to injury in the first place. The two are complementary, not interchangeable.
